Comcast Didn't Broadcast the Duquesne Game?

Post by BlueHenBill »

I missed the Duquesne Game due to an out of town wedding in my wife's family. Befroe leaving, I set my DVR to recored the Duquesne at UD game both lib=ve and on tape dealy on Wednesday, October 11. Imagine my surprise when the World Poker Tour was recorded both times (once on Comcast SportsNet & once on Comcast SportsNet+) in lieu of Duquesne at UD even though the program info at the bottom of the screen idnetified the programming as the FB game. What happened? Can anyone shed any light on this?

That's odd...I had it on last night on replay, and was also able to record it live.

Game was on tv last night. It got delayed by about 40 minutes with the Phillies postgame, but it was there. I have it recorded so I know of what I speak.

I know on my cable TV, I have 2 NBC Sports Philadelphia channels.
Yes 2 from Philly.

When I said "NBC Sports Philadelphia" into my voice remote, it took me to the first one, which had the World Poker Tour. I went and found the second one.

There are two Comcast Sports Philly channels

Comcast Sports Philadelphia

Comcast Sports Philadelphia+

When I used to be on cable with a provider here in Central PA, I only got the first channel. Once I cut out cable and started streaming on YouTube TV, I got both channels. Sometimes when two Philly teams are playing at the same time - like Phillies (during the regular season) and Flyers or Sixers, the Phillies will be on the first channel and the other team on the + channel.

Seldom, if ever, is the programming the same on both channels.

Also, it was on Flo - same feed for both.

We have been pre set to get the Comcast channel 846 UD football games for a couple of years. I also watched the Duquesne game this week and have to admit it was a pretty good broadcast. Our old QB from our last NC game in Frisco (Pat Devlin) is the color man and I think he was really good. The lead guy was OK. They were UD biased but not homers. Are these UD productions?

Me saintly wife and bro in law have cancelled out for today. I can't remember if I have ever cancelled out of attending a UD game for weather issues before today but at 77, cold damp weather makes me fingers turn white (circulation) even with gloves, so I think I will pass unless the weather changes. Our opponent also has a lot to do with my decision today.

Right now, my plans are to bring in some good oak for the fireplace and settle in with some good thirst aid from me bar.

GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!
