UP NEXT; TOWSON

Post by jd of de »

Rivalry game! The Tigers will be ready, you can bet on that. Historically, records don’t matter in this game and we need to approach this game that way. Since the beatdown in Brookings we have been ready every game, so I’d expect that trend to continue.

6-1 and we are in the CAA driver’s seat. Let’s keep it that way. I’ll see everyone at the TUB South.

Towson tied with W&M 17-17 after being down 17-3. They won’t lack confidence.

IMO the final four are all tests. Not a single game or opponent you can say “cupcake”. Healthy, motivated and prepared I think they are all winnable, but we can get beat in any of these last four too.

This is the point of the season where we fell apart last year...

Coming up:
Towson 2-4
Elon 4-4
Campbell 3-3
Villanova 5-2

All of these teams are better than the majority of the teams we have played so far. Towson and Campbell have been improving. Elon gave us alot trouble last year with the power run game and Villanova....yea...

We should win 3 of these games at least hopefully a sweep. Don't feel this Hen team is as good as he records and rankings indicate.... This team doesn't feel special but hopefully can improve and be pretty good as we finished up the year. Beating Villanova will show the program is moving in the right direction. Getting blown out by Nova and losing two of these last 4 would show we haven't really done much.

Towson will be a real test. They were down 17-0 in the first half against W&M. Came all the way back to win 34-24. Had the ball for almost 14 of the 15 minutes of 3rd quarter. They run the ball extremely well. Hens will need to bring their A game.

Seems like no word on if O'Connor is back next week or maybe he's out 4 weeks?!

Carty said in the postgame interview with Tres that he does not know if Oconner will be back next week.

Towson is the best FCS we will have played this year to date

My wow factor for what we saw from Marker today is grounded by just how embarrassingly bad Hampton was. Monmouth put up 60 on them last week, they quit.
recruiting recruiting recruiting...It ain't rocket science....We need better more athletic players...That simple....

Before worrying about them, and we should, we should worry about our injuries. We have a lot of key guys who are nicked up but according to the pregame, Carty said he didn't believe any of the injuries were season ending. I know we haven't played great teams, but for the most part, we have played great and you can't control who you play, but you can how you play them. This team is fun to watch. Go Hens.

I agree 100%, and their big game is Delaware so playing at home, fresh off beating their second ranked team of the season I’m sure they’ll be sky high. Hopefully the Hens can match that.
UD to FBS. I never thought I’d see the day

Agreed.

I will assume that Delaware trips up and falters in one of them.
