Futball.
I tried to post it a screenshot of that too, but it didn't work. Maybe Delaware's trying to confuse Lafayette's coaching staff... 😂

Let's dive into this comment with some data.

Reed was tied for 2nd in the CAA in FG percentage until yesterday. Had not missed since his first attempt in his first game as a Blue Hen at Stony Brook. He is now 5th in CAA with the miss in blustery conditions yesterday. He nuked it but it was just wide. He rattled off 7 consecutive made attempts which is now tied for 6th all-time in UD history. Reed is also tied for 3rd all-time in kicking points per game with 13 at Towson and 5th all-time for his 11 at Hampton.

Schmoke is 100% from XP's and is tied for the lead in the CAA. He is now tied for 1st in all-time UD history for XP percentage.

The last two weeks, Reed took over long kickoffs and has launched the ball with incredible hang time and multiple touch backs. Yesterday, the ball landed out of the end zone like he did at Campbell. Speaking of Campbell, check the field position Campbell started at with each possession after a kick off. The two times they did have decent starting possession was after a pooch and one kick off that was knocked down due to wind.

Combined, these two guys are 2nd in the CAA for touchbacks. They would easily be first if our coaches would not pooch kick as much as we do. I have not seen one CAA opponent that has the same kick off power.

Reed has a powerful leg. Have seen it all season. He has two years left after this season. He sat out fall of 2022 due to portal reasons. As a PWO, UD needs to secure him for the next two seasons with a scholarship.

Schmoke has one year left. He is on scholarship and it is unknown if he will return for one more year as a 2nd year grad student. He does not have the same power but clearly is accurate on his XP's.

Are these guys perfect? Heck no and far from it. But no kicker is perfect - at any level.

While it probably took too many games for the coaching staff to find this formula using Reed and Schmoke, they have improved the kicking game. Using data, it perhaps time to show some respect and not hate.

Caldwell, good job. I started a post to say that Reed was 7 out of 8 on field goals until yesterday, but deleted it.
You nailed it with your research.
Nate was the BHTC Special Teams MVP for Campbell, and we presented an award to him. A very respectful young man, and he was told how pleased we are that he is a Blue Hen. Have not had an opportunity yet to meet Schmoke.

Hard not to be tied for first all time when your percentage is 100.

Will note Reed's season long is 36 yards. Here's hoping he gets more chances in the coming weeks (as long as TDs are being scored as well).
