I am interested to see what team shows up today…the team that has competed with Maryland or the team that shellacked the last 4 games.

Glad to see Ludman getting some time now we need other changes. IE sit someone who isn’t hitting in our OF and start Tyer. Get some spark going.

Good game yesterday; our pitchers threw a good game and for once our starter got deeper into the game.

UD could have swept Campbell but in the second game leading 4-1 gave up 7 runs in the 5th & 6th innings largely due to walks, hit batters , and a throwing error by a UD Pitcher.

The glass 1/2 full version BHB is that the Hens took 2 of 3 from #22 Campbell who had won 8 straight coming in and has been to the NCAA tourney 5 consecutive years including winning 2 games in the tourney last year. This was Campbell's first ever CAA series and the Hens went into their park and took 2 of 3.
Jake Dunion, the Hens leading hitter this year, left the game during an at bat after a swinging and fouling a ball off. Looked like his wrist was the issue. Hopefully nothing major

Great weekend for the Hens beating the odds on CAA favorite in their park

Finally some changes that were needed.

1) Ludman is getting a shot and playing reguarly. 2) August is in the Friday night role. He got hit a little but still battled. 3) Sundays game, Tyer got the start and wnet 3-4 with a walk and run scored. 4) Our Sunday starter got rocked again!

A great start to the conference play

Heeper, My intent was not to criticize a fine weekend performance by UD Baseball. I was just pointing out that if it hadn't been for some problems with pitch control (a too common problem for UD pitching) in the 5th & 6th innings in game 2 (UD lost 6-9) which were instrumental in Campbell scoring a total of 7 runs over those 2 innings, UD would had the possibility of a series sweep. I share your concern about Jake Dunion who is one of the key cogs of the UD Baseball offense and a fine CF.

Another W yesterday but another game where a starter gets rocked and only goes 1.2 innings, 3 hits, 3 runns on 56 pitches.

You’re going to be posting this a lot. Hens are pretty thin on pitching right now. Going to have to outhit teams, which they’re doing a pretty good job of doing over the past week. Not ideal, but it is what it is.

Another nice win over a team that came in having won 5 in a row.

Tough one this weekend against W&M, who will come in 18-7 (2-1).

In Hannah’s era, on Easter weekend, the games would either be moved up to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, or they would play one on Friday and two on Saturday, so that the teams did not have to play or travel on Easter Sunday. They should bring that back.
