A couple observations so far this season.

The starting lineup of Davis, Ray, Lane, Reilly and Trent is lacking in outside shooting. Other than Reilly, nobody is a true threat. Lane and Trent need to stop shooting from 3.

When we get Bethea back, it adds another shooter.

Houser is very efficient on offense but has limitations on D

The defense was lacking yesterday.

With that said, UNCG is a pretty good team. They did beat #14 Arkansas

MI has to start winning these kinds of games. Other than maybe Princeton last year, do we have any really good non conference wins during his tenure? Even Monte beat Virginia to get to the pre-season NIT semi-finals at MSG. And Brey beat both Alabama and Florida back in the day, although they were admittedly both down the years we beat them. But seriously, we need to start winning games against teams like UNCG. Hoping we can give Xavier a real test next week.

Meltdown is right. Gave up 56 points in the second half. Fin is right, no reason why this program can’t beat the UNCG’s of the world, or even be a UNCG. Pretty disappointing last two days to me.
