The Blue Hens will become the 45th DI women’s hockey program and will join College Hockey America, which includes the following teams:

College Hockey America

Lindenwood
Mercyhurst
Penn State
RIT
Robert Morris
Syracuse

Exciting opportunity for Delaware.

It might not take too long for this program to be successful. There are plenty of great players in the area and very few schools for UD to compete with in the region . The partnership with the Flyers and upgrades to Rust Arena will help get Women’s Hockey off to a great start.

just thought to check out womens college hockey leagues- ECAC and Hockey East looked more interesting to me. Maybe more difficult, but in general bigger names which appealed to me- esp Ivies in ECAC. But I profess to know nada about college hockey. Do we have a "gohenser" expert? to fill us in?
