I'm all about tradition. I'd just like to see some addition to our tradition... 😂

Exactly. A mix of the past and a dose of the current trends

I would love them to go back to these uniforms. They are simple and peferct. Lose the Delaware across the chest and the silly new font. I like the variations of all white, all blue, white/blue, etc. and they would look much better if the uniforms were less cluttered.

No names ever on the back, that would be an affront to tradition IMO. I personally hate the sharing of low digit numbers, but if the players like it and are into it, that's fine with me. If they ever put that stupid cartoon chicken on the helmet, then I'd be done.

I really like these unis, too. Classic, By the way, white isn’t one of our colors, so blue over white doesn’t work for me.

I wholeheartedly agree Sally, the fight song as I've pointed out before is FIGHT FOR THE BLUE AND GOLD!!! Lol. I don't mind the yellow as a substitute for gold pants, but I'm a big time traditionalist at heart. One week a season for a big game or special occasion for alternate uniforms, period.

Don’t see recruits dodging Oregon either and they have uni combos too many to count.

I guess I’m not a traditionalist. I love the all white and all blue. I even like the all black. Never was a fan of the traditional away uniforms.

But everyone has differing opinions. It is what makes this board interesting. I am getting a bit tired of the continual periodic discussions over uniform color and
style.

I just think uniform color and style is not very important. Winning games, though, is important.

Bingo. Wear whatever color combo, ditch the winged helmet a few games, put woody woodpecker on them, print Delaware across the players' asses like Idaho did a few years back.

I don't care.

Just win, baby.

PS. I do hate the stupid font on our current jerseys though. It looks SO bad. Standard block numbers and letters is ALWAYS the right answer on football uniforms.

Here's my two cents, if I had my way:

As the state's flagship university, I'd like to see the school's colors reflect those of the Delaware flag (Colonial blue and buff), so maybe something similar to the UCLA Bruins' colors,

As far as the helmet goes, I would prefer not to look like Little Blue. I would be cool with the Old English D, the interlocking UD, and Dick the Chicken but no disembodied YouDee WW head. Tradition is great, but it's better when it's not borrowed.

I'd rather lose the tiger stripes and make the tiger ears (?) look more like wings, and I'd invert the colors, so the wings were blue, sort of like the Eagles' throwbacks a while ago. Here's where I go off-script and maybe a little too literal, but change the helmet's thin center line to red like an actual Blue Hen's comb, but that's the only red I'd put on the uniform. Blue shirt, solid yellow/gold pants, socks, numbers, too.

I'm indifferent to names on the back.

Having said that, no matter what we each like, the little-brother-plays-dressup issue may resolve itself long-term, especially if we're fortunate enough to have the opportunity to face the Wolverines in a bowl game, or in the very unlikely event of conference play.

I've thought the same thing. They could encourage the men to come to the games in blue and the women to come in the buff.

This, 100x this. Bring back the darker shades of actual blue and gold, lose the hideous bird from the pants and bring back the single pant stripe.

It's telling though in 90% of signing day announcements, future UD players are shown wearing all-black. If not all black, they are in all-white. They are going to have to change the words to the fight song soon enough. I get it, players like the alternates but at the same time, Bama, PSU, Texas, USC. You've got Home/Away and in the case of PSU, one "legacy" uniform.

Ideally, give me the Rich Gannon era with the glorious striped socks (I know players hate team socks anymore) but boy this just looks perfect.

My suggested helmet design: ---------------------------------------------------->

Delaware Blue Field, Gold Interlaced UD, Gold facecage and three broad gold stripes stripes.

References to the past, with the university's modern branding.
