Re: Drexel
I’m a big Christian Ray fan. He does all of the little things well. But asking him to guard Amari Williams one on one in the post, without any help, is problematic. I’m surprised Drexel isn’t exploiting that more.

Re: Drexel
Unfortunately the beginning of this second half has done us in. Hens trail by 10.
Re: Drexel
Am I the only one watching the Hens play our biggest basketball rival? Where is everyone?

Re: Drexel
What’s going on with Reilly ? He hasn’t done much scoring in recent games . Has no points into the 2nd half .

Re: Drexel
Had a chance to cut it to 5 but missed a wide open floater in the lane. Drexel scores the next 5 and it’s now a 12 point game.
Re: Drexel
Completely fell apart in the second half, especially the last 5 minutes.Udforever1 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 3:36 pm Had a chance to cut it to 5 but missed a wide open floater in the lane. Drexel scores the next 5 and it’s now a 12 point game.
Re: Drexel
Oh well …. But the Hens did beat a team with a 7’0 and 6’10 guys that aren’t very good on a very average team at home this week. So there’s that. And the beat rolls on.

Re: Drexel
Big time. Tough to win when you don’t defend. Drexel scored 18 points in the first 5 minutes of the second half. I questioned all the Drexel love pre season but they appear to be the real deal.Hen90 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 3:59 pmCompletely fell apart in the second half, especially the last 5 minutes.Udforever1 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 3:36 pm Had a chance to cut it to 5 but missed a wide open floater in the lane. Re: Drexel
Drexel shot 66% from inside the arc and 50% from 3 point range. Either the Dragons are the 2nd coming of the UCLA dynasty days or we played abysmal defense.
Re: Drexel
MI's postgame comments...Drexel is bigger, tougher, and deeper than us. Shouldn't teams be saying that about us in year 8??? And then people will complain about the lack of community support and fans not coming out to the Bob...seriously??? What's the definition of insanity again???

Re: Drexel
Eh, I actually liked MI’s comments post game. Harmon tried to throw him a softball as usual and I didn’t feel MI took it. In fact he said no excuses.finpxz1 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 4:30 pm MI's postgame comments...Drexel is bigger, tougher, and deeper than us. Shouldn't teams be saying that about us in year 8??? My issue is that in year 8 we still haven’t had a dominant CAA type level team, which Drexel appears to be this year. No excuse for that.

Re: Drexel
Heard a stat that we were down at least 12 points 5 out of our last 7 games. Hard to attain any type of consistency with that.
Defense, defense, defense. I had a coach once tell me you won’t always make your shots on offense, but you should always maintain defensive consistency with effort and intensity. I see too many lapses on defense with this team. WTH happened coming out after halftime?
Opportunity lost to make a statement this game.
