The Hens have clinched the 6 seed with Monmouth winning. Lock in 8:30 to your calendars next Saturday against the winner of Elon and the loser of today’s William & Mary/Hampton game (Friday, 4:30 pm).

Hens look like they know they’re locked into the 6th seed and have nothing to play for. At one point turned the ball over 4 possessions in a row. Davis the only bright spot. Very lazy performance.

We have been shooting the ball horrendously lately. 1-10 from the three in the first half.

Really ugly first half for the hens.

When this team is out running in transition, it’s beautiful. Defense is our best offense and we really need to lock in on steals and winning 50/50 balls in the tournament

Decided to just turn this one off. Been a while since that’s happened but there’s better things to do on a Saturday afternoon.

This team looks a one and done in DC next weekend! Team has badly regressed since winning at Towson.

The team regressed for sure. But other teams caught on the Hens can’t shoot overall, stick with Reilly and he is basically useless, and clog the lane. They are a pretty easy team to defend if the other team has at least average talent.

A three way tie for 6th. Phew! It is what it is and what it was most of the season. Oh well ….

If we held them under 70, we’d still have lost.

Bad mojo with Hens team this weekend.

Seems as though if you guard our best offensive player and make the rest of the team beat you….that is a winning formula.
Tubby: 3 national titles, one won on the field, all D2
Keeler: 3 national titles, all won on the field, one as a player, two as a coach, 1 D2, 2 FCS
Carty: 2 on-field national titles, one as a player, one as an OC, both FCS

Carty - get an FBS bowl win!

Stony's announcers on FloSports webcast made a point that (unusually) it was UD's third game in 6 days implyng that UD may be fatigued. UD played 3 games in 6 days because the Home game vs. Drexel was whatever reason plyaed on Monday night instead of on Sat.as usual. I don't know when UD bussed to Stony, Friday night or Sat morning. Regardless the long bus trip to Stony could also have been a factor. The announcers made the point that Stony's home record is substantially better than their away record. Perhaps the long trip to Stony disadvantages most of their opponents. Finally, UD's limited depth, the relatively few minutes of playing time not played by the starting five this season, and the resulting toll as the season progressed could have contributed to any fatigue. Let's hope that UD is re-energized fo r the CAA Tourney.

We were clearly fatigued. Maybe we lose on Saturday in DC or Sunday against the #3 seeds. I also recall how wrong many of the prognosticators were when we made up the rest of a suspended game in Towson, going into the tournament. There is a reason they play the games.

You are definitely a “the glass is half-full” kind of guy, JD. Gotta love the optimism. Go Hens!!!
