Right on. The Lehigh - Hopkins game was interesting til the end. According to the announcers, it’s been like 20 years since all home teams won, The Hens played a part in that streak of visiting wins.Cluck U wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 10:53 am Home teams all won...a rarity.
Sunday's games were mostly good until halftime. Saturday's games were mostly snooze fests.
Towson performed admirably until the 3rd quarter...then the wheels came off. Their goalie, strangely, was caught out of position several times.
Don't know what the future holds for our Hens, but it would be fun to go out of the CAA with a bang next year and get back into the NCAA tourney.

Brown has narrowed its head coach search down to two candidates.
Hold your breath.

Someone deliver a truck full of cash to DeLuca’s house. Our coach needs some NIL money…STAT!

Re: 2024 Post Mortem
Is Brown, a non-competitive Ivy (not close to Penn, Princeton and Cornell) a better gig than UD?
UD to FBS. I never thought I’d see the day

Reading this thread, doesn’t appear like DeLuca is a candidate. Though he would fit the bill for:
“I’ve heard it’s already down to two. One is a well established current HC at a program that has been to the tournament in the past few years. The other might be still coaching in the tournament. Will be interesting to see how long it takes for this to narrow to 1.”
Posters then go on to speculate either the BU coach or High Point coach for option 1.

Thanks for the link UDF1! Seems absurd we'd lose Deluca to Brown .Udforever1 wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 8:01 am https://fanlax.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4388&start=500

Re: 2024 Post Mortem
LILax has demonstrated his connections and inside info regarding the Lax world. If he says we should hold our breath…
DeLuca has plenty of Ivy League ties…played and coached at Cornell, and coached at Harvard. Add in a coaching stint at Duke…another lacrosse blue blood.
Also, DeLuca’s hometown is Rochester, NY…a nice, small city on the water. Similar to Providence, RI. With two young children…might be a nice place to live…especially in an Ivy setting with an Ivy-like salary. Brown says they want to invest in their lacrosse team. Wonder what they would pay?
In any case, Brown would have had to have interviewed their candidates, so someone has to know if DeLuca was one of those guys.
Fingers crossed…

bluehenbillk & Henny, With the future conference (or independent status?) for UD Men's Lax (among 5 other sports including FH & Women's Lax) still up in the air a lot of jobs may now be more appealing to HC DeLuca than the UD job.

Well, at least the CAA is featured prominently in the NCAA LAX quarterfinals. Hofstra and Towson hosting the Saturday and Sunday games, respectively.

LILax,
Thanks for another great year of insight and analysis. What are your thoughts about how we will compete in the A-10?

Disagree 100% with that assessment. It's just that no other sport comes close to the significance of football and positioning that sport was of primary concern to Rawak's bosses.
Finding a home for MLAX - no matter how permanent or temporary - was inevitable.

High Point - an A10 conference mate starting 2026. Glad it appears coach will be staying put.
