So far they’ve signed Iowa transfer Kenise Johnson (appeared in 20 games in 3 years), Sanyiah Litttlejohn from George Mason (1.4 PPG last year), Frances Ulysse (HM Big South last year averaging 10 PPG), and Daniella Matus from Loyola Chicago (avg 1 PPG last year as a freshman).

Johnson and Ulysse seem intriguing. The others not so much, though I do think they still have a few more to fill. Could be a long last year for Jenkins.

In addition to the great info above from UDF, Jenkins coaching staff has had a seismic change.

-Sam Pierce moves to Tulane
-Bri Hutchins take a job at USF
-Fred Batchelor is no longer listed as an assistant.

Kristina Baugh was hired as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.

Two new coaches to be hired and potentially 6 more recruits to complete the team and staff for 2026-27.

so apparently there are a lot of unanswered questions revolving around nest season!!
can the roster be added to with impactful players as most of the top prospects( HS/Tr)have been snatched up long ago?

is there a particular reason that Baugh( quite experienced) was hired-possibly AD inspired with future considerations if SJ is replaced?

Gianna Johnson? appeared in so few minutes in 2 years due to injuries??- or opting to save eligibility necessitated by a lack of skill/overall previous inexperience/adjustment to college ball? I have pondered why she was not on the court last season with no info provided that I have found.

clearly there are numerous other concerns since WB is and has been our best shot(pun) at success in bball. I voiced my displeasure with our AD under the present leadership/results in a phone conversation a while back. Unfortunately, in my estimation, nothing has changed since. The future appears extremely bleak with even more empty seats expected than ever before this century

1. My guess is that you have reviewed and evaluated the 575
players still in portal (per the Women’s Basketball Blog). No “impactful” players among them?
2. Baugh was hired as a replacement for Bri Hutchens who was the recruiting coordinator. It looks like she may have some recruiting chops. If this is Jenkins last year the entire staff will be replaced, no doubt, by a new head coach.
3. Johnson was injured her first year. Jenkins stated at a BHTC lunch that Johnson was a development player. Hopefully she will see more playing time this year. You can’t teach height however.

Fine grown-up answer. I attempted to answer your “unanswered questions” with facts and some speculation about what could be.

You may be right about the quality of transfer and high school recruits. But I was merely pointing out the number of transfers available and challenged your assertion that there are not high quality players yet to be signed because of the sheer number.

I guess you didn’t do the research prior to making the statement.

well, whatever. that word is now part of most of society's lexicon whether kids, middle aged, or us ancient ones. it's a blowoff to end conversations that are over.

as the season plays out, we'll find out the many unanswered questions that we all speculate on based on our knowledge of the game and our evaluative player projections.

My displeasure with the quality last season(and before under SJ) was constant and correct-not open to discussion. If history repeats itself, we're in for a another debacle. what say you, sir?

LOL.
Well, I guess you overstate the use of “whatever”. But if it meant that your conversation ended, why continue?
You deflect rather easily.
-You made a statement that all the impactful players both transfer and high school recruits were gone. No response.
-You speculate about an assistant coach hire as a possible replacement to Coach J. I gave you a factual answer. No response.
-You speculate about a specific player. I gave you a factual answer. No response.

So it’s now my turn to end the conversation about all your unanswered questions. “whatever”. LOL

MP- no defense necessary for me, but this might be enlightening for you. facts vs speculation, then inferences based on available info (for what it's) worth in today's discussion climate. Hype words like "impactful" provided by talking heads who need to get all the "hits" on their websites ,podcasts, etc. today form the "FACTS"; they are simply out to make a living so take their facts with a grain of salt! How many times are they incorrect in their opinions? A great example would be pregame predictions by experts/commentators, etc. or another analogy would be political experts in election forecasts like primaries today in our nation; right or wrong?

So- MP-I get your loyalty to UD and can appreciate it, but trolling on me( and a few others you disagree with) is ludicrous and often deducts from the fun of a sports discussion. I don't enjoy negatives about our basketball programs, but want to help express my unhappiness with them in hopes of CHANGE. I want to be proud not defensive with constant excuses.

So - a rapid response to your conclusions:
whatever= an OK, enough, let's move on statement
deflect= come on man, be serious!
impactful players now available are truly gone!
Baugh- just speculating, but I would sign her right now in a New York Minute if AD. Though I would seek even more successful coaches ahead of her .
G. Johnson- I agree super height is special if the player has many other needed attributes to contribute. I gave you what I viewed( miniscule on
court time last season) and wasn't impressed. Potential is thrown around these days a lot, but "put up or shut up" that's a fact and her
productivity justifies my concerns.

please respond

MP Werrell, Congrats on the Bluehen TD Club President position. Big shoes to fill but you're the perfect man for the job.

sure are a large number of guards in this class? I felt we needed a bit more frontcourt help.

BTW- a cayeat of my basketball posts-= It's the men's program I am most concerned about and hope for improvement. I follow our women since I feel it's the one major sport we could gain reasonable recognition. The limited # of recruits needed to succeed as well as the limited talent available would( and has) allowed the right coach to crack the top 50. We have and are presently not following that possible trajectory!

Regina Donanu - productive JUCO player. Her game will translate well at the mid-major level.
Milena Bigovic - 6-0 forward with international experience. Recruiting outside the normal UD box.
London Caldwell - a former Siena verbal commit from North Jersey. Productive at two good high school programs, Immaculate Conception and West Orange (2200 students).
Amalia Fruchtman - 6-1 forward, 25-26 Gatorade Player of the Year in Delaware at Cape.

Two more scholarships to give and quite a few high school players passed by the “big boys” because they’re more focused on the portal (which still shows over 500 players per the Women’s Basketball Blog).

By the way, watch out for Ava Andrews. Red-shirt first year player who was injured for at least half the season. The staff was hesitant to play her because they were afraid she would have been poached.
