TCA is part of the largest school division of the Texas Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) and TCA has a rich history of championship football teams. The 2009 season was no different as the Trojans finished the year 12-2, loosing a heartbreaker in the Texas State Championship Game 20-21 in overtime to arch rival Ft. Worth Nolan Catholic. Reynolds’ play in the trenches was recently recognized by TAPPS coaches by receiving the following honors:

  • All District First Team Defensive End
  • All District First Team Offensive Tackle
  • All State First Team Defensive End
  • All State First Team Offensive Tackle
  • AcademicAllState First Team

On January 10th, Reynolds was also one of two TCA players who were awarded the Peter Haskell Burks Unsung Hero Memorial Award, given to the player who demonstrated personal sacrifice and commitment for the betterment of the team. This award is named after 1999 TCA football player Peter Burks who was killed in action in Iraq as a member of the US Army in the fall of 2007.
