Re: Football General Manager

I hope to speak with Jordan Skolnick at some point this off-season to ask about some of the logistical and physical changes / upgrades, etc. that UD will have to make simply because we are moving to FBS, or as requirements of CUSA. I also hope to ask him about the GM position. BTW, here is a comment...

Re: First thoughts about QB next year

However it plays out, we are fortunate to have the caliber of QB’s in the room that we do (including Streeter). I’m sure there are a number of other schools who would like to have that “problem”.

Mid-week games, CUSA vs MAC

As I have been peeking in occasionally on the mid-week MAC games, it occurred to me how much more I will appreciate being in CUSA from a scheduling standpoint. Although I’m not a huge fan of mid-week games, I’d much rather be playing them in October than November (at least the home games). - The wea...

Which made the 1971 game even sweeter when little Johnny Bush locked down the future NFLer, Siani.

Re: First thoughts about QB next year

My suspicion (and it’s only that), is that the original plan was to redshirt Marker for the whole year and start OC, with Minicucci as the backup. Clearly, Marker was not close to 100% while wearing a knee brace, and that limited a couple of his best assets - his running and elusiveness. I didn’t th...

Re: First thoughts about QB next year

I don’t think ROC needs a medical waiver to play next year. According to his bio: 2021 freshman, did not play 2022 red-shirt freshman, played 4 games 2023 red-shirt sophomore, played 10 games 2024 red-shirt junior 2025 will be his fourth and last year of eligibility (unless he gains a 2026 year due...

Campbell FBI

As readers may recall from past years, I try to write up my notes and observations from the games I am able to attend using the acronym FBI (for F ield, Press B ox, and I nterviews). Historically, I run up to the press box to drop off my binoculars and notebook, then spend Pre-game and 1st Quarter o...

Re: Hopkins scrimmage

LILax, thanks for your report. As you say, the season should be interesting with all the young blood on the team.

So, UD led 8 - 7 at the end of Q3 before inserting all the youngsters. Sounds promising.

Won’t that sound sweet starting next year: UD vs whomever on ESPN2 or CBS Sports?!

Re: Football General Manager

Quite the job responsibility. Makes you wonder how all these functions are being handled now (although some certainly are new). I noticed the following: “Responsible for the management of the Assistant GM/Director of Player Personnel. Creating clarity and clear responsibilities for their role.” Does...
