Re: UMass to the MAC

Have the friend ask them and report back.

I guess this is what fills the void for praising or excusing MI?

Re: Home and Home Set with UCONN

Hard to blame Ziady for everything that went sideways during the Harker years. Historically, the ADs at UD have not had as much influence DIRECTING athletics as you'd typically see at a BCS school. They were largely ADMINISTRATORS of the AD, with the Student Life and Athletics Committee actually pr...

Re: Drexel II

Lotta good posts. It isn’t hard to see what the team needs. They need a real post player, several more shooters, AND anyone that can create their own shot. Drumgoole is the closest now. These things were all know after last year ended. It is just about impossible to win in college basketball being a...

Re: Drexel II

Two years in a row following an NCAA appearance with an easy to see deeply flawed, middle of the pack CAA team. The Hens are 1-6 against the teams ahead of them and 0-5 against the top 4. They pile up stats against average or bad teams but just aren’t good enough to beat good teams.

Re: Drexel II

Just not enough offense, as is all too frequent, especially against a pretty good team.

MI continues to not get it done, again as is all too frequent.

Re: Drexel II

Down 64-58 at 3:34 in a wild, very physical game. Just can’t make enough shots, as is pretty typical.

Re: Drexel II

Drexel on a run. Up 28-27 at 4 min TO. They have a lot of weapons.

Re: Drexel II

Up 18-8 at 12 min TO. Hens getting to the rim. A very intense game and the refs are letting them play.

Re: Home and Home Set with UCONN

Nice job top. Most of us are thrilled with the move to CUSA/FBS. But it will never be unanimous. Not much in life is.

The step up to CUSA/FBS is pretty big no matter what a few think especially the ones that don’t follow FBS much.

Re: Charleston

In the age of NIL and NCAA programs raking in donor money, I'm surprised that the football stadium and basketball arena don't have a corporate sponsor. Companies like DuPont, WL Gore, and numerous banks could easily invest in the university and secure naming rights. I'm unsure why this hasn't occur...

Re: Charleston

Geesh! All I said was UD hasn’t announced the NEZ project and it should, especially if everyone knows it. And no throwing up on the key board, will change that. Also, good to know one of UD’s biggest critics on almost everything is on board with this. It is a rarity. This project needs to get public...

Re: Charleston

The very long version of “it’s the fans”. UD just did something very bold by announcing the move to FBS. The need to keep the momentum going. Blaming the fans for slow walking the NEZ would be the business as usual from UD I thought was in the process of being abandoned. Just friggen get it done.

Re: Charleston

I don't have a major problem with your analysis, except for the inclusion of "more funding" of athletics. UD's requests for monetary support from fans apparently is falling on a lot of deaf ears (e.g., the funding for the north end zone project that so many want to see and the relative la...

Re: Charleston

It never ceases to amaze me how many Delaware fans, alum, and supporters are just so willing to make excuses and accept mediocrity when it comes to UD Athletics…Football and Basketball, in particular. It feels like Chrissi and the current admin are trying to breakthrough that mindset, but it won’t ...

Re: Charleston

We are going to get what we get from MI. This is year 8. He hasn’t gotten it done. He just hasn’t. We are a 4-6 place team in the CAA with 4 being a stretch. We all loved the unexpected run a 4 or 5 place CAA team made 2 years ago but that’s been it. Last year was dismal from the get go following up...
