I will post if the game replay shows something different, but in real time it felt like forever before our punter dropped the ball to punt it and when he did finally drop the ball the lone URI rusher and Krolls azz had equal opportunities to block it.

This time It’s wasn’t scheme and it wasn’t blocking IMO like the first three; our punter was slow getting the ball off. No excuses being made here. Telling you what I saw live and from my angle
While we appreciate the, "live angle" report...what difference does it make?

Does is alleviate the coaches' responsibility for the inconsistent and pathetic punting part of the Hens' game?

The facts are (since some people like to throw out facts) that our punting team (coaches and players) have proven themselves to be a very visible and predictable problem. A liability - too many times. Opposing teams have noticed and taken advantage of our punting woes. The coaching staff has failed (miserably) to find a fix. Everyone, especially our opponents, knows we have punting problems...yet the issue has not been addressed successfully through personnel changes or scheme adjustments.

That is a direct reflection on Rocco.

End of story.
I couldn’t agree more that UD’s punter takes way too long to kick the ball. If JoeC were here he’d have him timed on a stopwatch and would be telling us he’s taking an extra half second or so to kick the damn ball.
Agreed, and on top of taking too long, his strides looked incredibly long - he did run right up to the back of his blocking wall. Still, it's all part of the punt scheme - snapping, blocking, kicking, whatever, it's something that, by this point of the season, should just look like clockwork out there. If the punter is taking too many steps, or just too long strides, it still shouldn't happen at this point. Heck, what is the punter doing other than practicing punting, how is he not robotic at this point in terms of his steps and timing, assuming he gets the snap properly (which appeared to be fine here)?

So, does anyone know who on the sidelines loudly shouted out “GD it” for all to hear on TV as the punt blocker picked up the ball to run for a TD? Was it Coach?
That was Chrissi.

LMFAO at Cluck. Funny posts!!

Did they have this problem in 2018 or 2019? What type of punt team formation did they employ then?

I can't quite remember. But I can't remember what time I got up last night to let my dog out either.

URI Coach Jim Fleming on the key plays:

" a soft snap to a punter who was too close to the shield."

" final interception was a 50-50 ball that Jones just grabbed ." Jones is now leading the nation in INTs. with 5.

72 says: IMO, he has been too close to the shield all year. Why has this not been fix?

1) if the punter lines up too close to the shield, why didn't our staff (who should have been looking for punting issues) notice and call a time out?

2a) if you had to toss a 50/50 ball up, which receiver would you choose?

2b) if you had to toss a 50/50 ball up, which defender would you choose to target (hint: the one with multiple INTs)?

3) why does 72's opinion appear in Hz's post?

I could not get it to work any other way. It was me that put there not Henzone. Sorry for the confusion. Blame me not HZ.

Recruit an Aussie rugby kicker. I think KC had one but I think even he had one blocked in a game played against ODU.

Figured it was something on your part. No blame...just wondered what happened as it appeared a bit strange. :D

Rawley Zaragusa was the guy.

Big question to me is why we use that punt formation to begin with.
