CAA Women

Hens plays UNCW at 2:30.

Winner gets Hofstra/Towson which is currently in OT.

Edit: Hofstra knocks off Towson. Very physical game. Hopefully the Hens can take care of business and quickly today. Allow the starters to get some rest for what will be a pretty tired Hofstra team.

Yes Coach and best of all scenarios. Let's hope we can take advantage.

On another note, JMU will be without the services of Rayne Tucker for the tournament. She is an all conference player and key to JMU's success.

Poor shooting and the zone are going to doom DE. Now we will see if they are ready to be champions.

They better get off the schnide soon or they are headed to the biggest collapse in women's basketball history.

Smalls is BIG! Thank goodness. Without her, we'd be in deep du du.

Since, i haven't watched hardly any UD Women's Basketball, don't know if this year's UD's Women's team has played or practiced zone-D (I doubt it) but if they have UD should have went to the Zone by NLT than the second quarter. UNCW has been doing most of their scoring from inside and at the free throw line as UD has been fouling too much. Zone-D should reduce fouling and keep UD's players out of foul trouble.Plus UNCW's outside shooting doesn't look too good. So a zone-D would be worth trying if it is in UD's tool bag, which it should be.

IMO, a big part of UD's struggles is the 11 days between games, a concern that I previously posted on this board.

I should have known better but I was getting worried in the second and third quarters. The switch to the pressure D made a nice difference and we were able to wear them down with our superior athleticism.

I've noticed that we seem to go long stretches without getting Battle involved in the offense. They got her more touches in the 4th quarter and it made a nice difference. She is such a smart player.

Smalls is such a joy to watch when she gets going!

Never a doubt. They responded when needed. Proud of the way they came back to win going away.

This reminds me of the q-final game in 2013 vs UNCW where then Hens didn't take the lead for good until under 10 mins left...we all know how that postseason turned out!
