Jyare Davis from Providence is in portal. 3* 6’7 230 , Newark DE and Sanford kid.

Assuming we have 13 for next year but would take this kid in a second
MI and Davis are now following each other on Twitter.

I’m not 100% but reading that returning seniors using the extra year do not count against the 13 scholarship limit. If this is true, Ingelsby technically has 4 schollies to play with if he wants to bring in more players.

I for one would like to see him land another post player; however, I have not seen our name mentioned with 1 transfer.

I heard that too, but then it’s a funding issue.

I was surprised to see that the 3 seniors on the FH team were leaving? At least they had senior day during the CAA tournament,

I’ve heard the same thing Dave. What I don’t know yet is if UD as committed to paying for the extra scholarships.

Thanks Dave. I can only recall Centenary University and the University of New Orleans reclassifying from D1 to D3 recently but UNO later on reclassified back to D1. Feel bad for the student athletes, especially the men’s basketball team which finally made the the school’s first trip to the Big Dance this year.

Wow! Completely bypassing Div II to go from Div I to supposedly non-scholly Div III. Will AE Conf. look to replace Hartford and if so with who?

Significant CAA news....Kante is not using another year at Hofstra. Him and Painter are the top big men in the CAA and felt would have made Hofstra a top contender. No doubt Speedy will bring in a big man transfer but Kante is a big loss.

Big man Miroslav Stafl , 6-10 234, transferring from Hartford. Also Jared Kimbrough just transferred to Hartford from LaSalle in April. With two years of eligibility, he may be looking for a new home.

Not really sure where to put this but I saw where Vtech hired Mike Jones from Dematha to be their associate head coach. From HS to 2nd in command for an ACC school. Let’s see what Dematha kids end up at VTech. I believe Jones was Allen, Gardiner and Darlings coach as well as Coach McCrae being an assistant under Jones. Hopefully whoever gets the job, our Dematha pipeline will continue .
