Re: Other Games 9/30
The UNH defense looked horrible in that game.
Re: Other Games 9/30
IMO, UNH let Delaware beat them twice.
Towsons defense was a pretty bad too, but you are correct, the UNH defense was not very good.
Re: Other Games 9/30
Willie & Mary go down, villa-stink in’-nova go down, New Hampshire go down- any given Saturday the opposition can take a team down. Hens better focus on one game at a time- no looking ahead. Onward & upward!!! Go B

Another ranked team goes down. Holy Cross loses to Harvard 38-28.

We picked a good week to schedule BYE
Be careful of the words you say,
keep them soft and sweet.
You never know from day to day
which ones you'll have to eat!

Re: Other Games 9/30
Interesting challenge: clock management with the new rules.
NDSU only had six possessions. Their famous clock-eating drives ended up killing themselves.
1st possession: 16 plays, 56 yards, 10 minutes and 7 seconds, FG
2nd: 5 plays, 21 yards, 2:58, INT
3rd: 6 plays, 17 yards, 2:59, Punt
Halftime
4th: 12 plays, 89 yards, 7:31, TD
5th: 16 plays, 80 yards, 9:24, FG
6th: 12 plays, 75 yards, 2:13, TD
At that point, there were only 36 seconds left in the game and they did not recover the on-sides kick.
With the exception of their last drive, they were consistently using 30+ seconds per play…often high 30s.
When a team falls into an early hole, you can’t be a grind-it-out, clock eating O…it will be tough to dig yourself out. Have to have some quick strike plays and/or hurry your plays. Think back to the old days of TO/run-focused teams trying to come back from deficits, except the clock ticks much faster these days.
You can still run when behind, but you can’t let the play clock go inside 5 seconds before you hike the ball.
NDSU’s success has been based upon physically grinding teams down and winning TOP. Hard to break that habit. It will be interesting to see if the NDSU coaches adapt next time when they fall behind.

Re: Other Games 9/30
Any given Saturday… agree that we’re lucky we had a bye. A weekend of upsets.
The Hens should look at this weekend and come away with a renewed focus. Many of us were already looking ahead to Elon, 5 games away.
We’ve got 4 teams that would like nothing more than to knock off a ranked team in UD. And this weekend should show everyone that you’re never as good as you think you are

I saw same thing but it would be hard to miss. So bad and slow you have to kind of re-evaluate how good our offense looked vs UNH. Towson has nice some skill players or at least against UNH they looked good
