one would hope, cartoon youdee has run its course. If Lousiville can make a cardinal look mean Im sure Dick would be fine, band aids included.jd of de wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 7:39 amMuch like professional teams, and even colleges use championships to introduce new uniform color schemes, just like UD did in 2004, moves to a new conference is likely an opportunity to adjust branding. Retro is in and that may be all Dick’s reappearance is, but I would not be surprised to see branding changes as UD moves towards our July 2025 move to FBS / CUSA.Udforever1 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 7:11 pm Different sport, but the Dick the Chicken logo is the UD logo for the hoops game tonight.

Proud to be a F*king Blue Hen
Re: Uniform question?
nice photo except for the crowd size. Like our vicious image
As to mascots- I just googled "fighting cocks" as well as blue hens to check out various photos/images. Most put our guy to shame!
BTW- JD's reference to branding after this 2023-24 sports year might be a solid idea. Otherwise, playing a CAA schedule this season, might diminish our introduction to FBS competition.

Re: Uniform question?
Apparently it's National Bird Day. UD had a cool post on FB with some old school pictures of our beloved Blue Hen mascot over the years.

Could be the prep for a branding/uni change.

Re: Uniform question?
When Wolverines grow wings, THAT's when we should change our helmets.
Until then, I'd say the winged helmet style fits our mascot much better than theirs.
Those are HENS wings !

Be careful of the words you say,
keep them soft and sweet.
You never know from day to day
which ones you'll have to eat!

Re: Uniform question?
I'm a little surprised some knucklehead hasn't forced the NCAA to allow them to have a jersey where the numbers are printed BACKWARDS. Obviously, it would only work with some numbers. How bout the numbers up-side-down numbers on a jersey? Players want to stand out and call attention to themselves. It would also add a challenge for the announcers calling the games. I know Ralph isn't happy players sharing the same numbers but image a number 3 forward, backwards and up-side-down....The possibilities are endless.
