Hens a 12.5- to 13.5-point favorite for tonight's game.

Last 5 games the margin of victory has been 9 pts with Hens going 4-1. These games always seem to be closer than they should, probably with DSU coming in with a chip on their shoulder.

Every time I think the atmosphere can’t get any worse I get knocked back down into reality. 10 minutes before tip and there might be 200 people in the stands.

Actually, the crowd is probably in the 1500-1750 range. The 6:30 start makes it difficult to arrive early.

We gotta stop with the trophy lol

Del State didn't play horrible, 1 shy of the all time UD 3 point record love to see the perimeter offense from the Hens.

93-80, final. Right on or right around the 12-13.5 spreads that were out there.

Getting outscored 53-51 in the 2md half is not ideal.

The Hens can shoot it but that's way too many points to give up against Del State.

Driving home we listened to the post game radio interview. MI was pissed off about the defense in the second half saying it was unacceptable. He sounded as animated as I have ever heard him, more like intense. Practices will be tough over the next few days.

Solid offensive effort, but the 2nd half defense was pretty much nonexistent. At one point in the 2nd half I think DSU scored on 11 out of 12 possessions. Overall, we’ll take the win and hopefully we can steal one out in Pittsburgh against what appears to be a very modest Duquesne team on Friday night. Some general observations from tonight’s game…

Our shooting was lights out hitting 55% from distance with 17 made triples. I like our starting lineup (Camden, Timko, Pasha, Reilly, Allen) with Lane, Middleton, and the Emory brothers coming in off the bench. If Kogbara has more upside than Moss, that’s super concerning. I really had hoped Moss would have a chance to contribute inside this season, and I think he only has played a few minutes in the very first game of the season. Timko seems to be getting more comfortable playing at this level. Camden, Reilly and Pasha are becoming a pretty effective trio. Now let’s go get one on the road on Friday!!!

The offense can be fun to watch when it gets going but happy to hear MI immediately bring up the defense in the post game. Will need to shore up to be a contender in CAA

Reilly, who seemed to be written off earlier in the year, has really come on and not just from 3pt shooting. He has made some very nice drives to score.

Not sure what is going on with Lane but body language last night seemed off. He was yanked after forcing a shot then seemed to be off on the bench for a bit. Hopefully its nothing.

Glad to see Middleton back....a very efficient 13 min game w/ 8 pts, 3/4 fg, 2-3 3pt, 2 boards, assist and zero to's.

Never want to say a road A10 game should be a win but YTD, Duquesne has looked awful and will be disappointed in a loss here.

Good Stuff Dave,

Still nervous, Live by the 3 die by the 3.... Some days it will fail. Maybe why I ALWAYS preach the importance of Defense. As that very evident last season.

Reilly is deadly when he has his feet set and shoulders square to the basket. Else, it is a crapshoot. Love the way he is playing tho. And I am liking this team. Liked the 1st half, the 2nd - not so much. Stating the obvious I know - but after watching DE State score 27 in the first half, and seeing them score 53 in the second was incomprehensible. Hopefully they will learn to play hard for all 40. What is still distressing is the number of turnovers - 16 as a team. They need to clean that up. They won't be able to get away with that when larger, beefier teams start exploiting UD on the inisde.
