Went to the inaugural game and definitely will go back! Final score (4-1loss) does not capture the competitiveness of this game as it was 2-1 with under two minutes to go when we pulled our goalie and LIU got an empty netter. Then they scored another in the last 20 seconds. I thought we went toe to toe except on power plays— LIU defended all our power play advantages and we gave up a goal.
Team showed great effort and skated well always looking for crisp passes to open teammates. Our goaltender was outstanding under significant pressure. Attendance was outstanding for a first time event, and will build as their progress continues!!

Hens won their first ice hockey game in program history with a 2-1 victory over Holy Cross.

A nice start for a young program. Penn State next, ugh!
