Per this morning’s Massey Ratings, The Summit League is the 4th best conference in the nation.

Re: Delaware Mens Soccer
Denver leaving could open the door for the MAC adding back soccer. Akron is in the Big East and Bowling Green and Western Michigan are in the MVC. NIU is going to the Horizon leaving MVC at 7. If the MVC takes a team first, dipping the Summit below 6 teams, that should free UMass, Delaware an a team or 2 from the Summit. Know you guys already have a rowing affiliation with the MAC and they are our home conference.

Sources: The University of Denver has accepted an invitation to join the West Coast Conference. It will join on July 1 of 2026 and be a member in nine sports. Denver currently plays in the Summit League.

Re: Delaware Mens Soccer
Hens fall 2-0 to #25 Kansas City in the semis. Will have to see if they get an at large bid.
Re: Delaware Mens Soccer
Lets hope so. Only 2 losses on the year and the highest scoring team in country going into Sunday's game
Re: Delaware Mens Soccer
Given that the tourney is 48 teams with 22 auto bids and our RPI is 41, I think it is safe to say that the season is over for the Hens.Udforever1 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 8:06 pm Hens fall 2-0 to #25 Kansas City in the semis. Will have to see if they get an at large bid.

Re: Delaware Mens Soccer
Hens don’t get in. Notre Dame, who was one spot ahead of UD in RPI got in, so the Hens very well were probably one of the first ones out.

sensitive?
as to our lads, they had a great season and I'm extremely proud of them and our staff. They play an attractive style-quality.
Yeah- The 1 spot in the rankings and possibly name recognition(ND) cost us entry. If you noticed the rankings, we were the 3rd in the Summit-both KC(#20) and Denver(#23) were ahead of us(#45). the losses to KC (in the conference semis) and Denver during the season cost us.
final comment- it's always tough to just miss out for post season entry. One of my tennis teams missed going to the state by tying during the match 9-9, tying in sets won, and lost by a few games total number like 165-164. Now that's possibly worse than our wonderful soccer squad. The next year we beat the same team by a close margin
hopefully next season we come through and qualify with a conference championship
