Just popping in to post that the Women’s Swim and Dive team won their first conference title since 1997 this past weekend, beating Florida Gulf Coast U to win the championship in their first year in the ASUN conference.
Coach Pablo Marmolejo won Coach of the year, while swimmer Angelica Ragazzoni was the Most Outstanding Swimmer. Victoria Novinski, a senior from Manchester NH, became the first swimmer in Women’s program history to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the 100 Fly.
The Men finished 3rd in ASUN, 16 points behind joint champions Queens and Florida Atlantic.
Lots of individual success in the pool over the past 2 decades for the Men and Women, but team championships have been a rarity. Good to see the Hens back on top!

Congrats to the swim team. I don’t know much about swimming, but my wife swam pretty competitively and said some of those times are, “ridiculously good.” Awesome accomplishment in their first year.

Just saw this in the Newark Post.
Congrats to the ladies!
3rd place isn't bad for the men, either.
As Dory said, "Keep on swimming..."

Great to see our women capture the conference title. We actually have some deep and talented programs in quite a few of the "lesser-covered" sports, not just swimming. Both men's and women's soccer, tennis, and golf programs are all ranked much higher nationally than I think most people even realize.

Hey Coach. Hope you’ve been well. Your better half ain’t wrong. The program is so far beyond what it has historically been it’s hard to even put into words. Swimming as a whole has globally improved, but what the Men’s and Women’s teams have been producing has been on a trajectory that is outpacing the global improvements in the sport. The recruiting has been amazing, and the team is making the most of the various facility improvements over the years.Udforever1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 26, 2026 7:15 pm00, good to hear from you again! Case in point: Men’s team has an NCAA finalist - might be a first for the program, not entirely sure. Matvei Namakonov sits in 4th position in the 100 Breaststroke after the preliminary heats this morning. Finals to come tonight!
