Potential Transfer Target

Post by mpwerrell »

Lance Ware 6-9 235 spent 3 years at Kentucky and last year at Villanova. Only averaged 9.6 mpg over 4 years but has played in a lot of games.
Probably wishful thinking on my part but he would no doubt play more than 10 mpg at UD.

Does UD have the NIL money that would be necessary for this kind of move? Villanova had the money to get him to move there from Kentucky. Can't imagine he is not looking for a similar kind of deal.

Schools like UD can only truly compete in the portal if they also have the necessary NIL money to go shopping there, IMHO.

rooney guy, Do you believe that many non-Power 5 colleges have much NIL money?

You are no doubt correct! But he will still only play 10 minutes per game if he is reaching for the Kentucky/ Villanova level. My hope (perhaps unfounded) is that he
wants to get more playing time.
Again just a hope…

BlueHenBill: Yes, some non-Power 5 colleges have significantly more NIL dollars that anything that has been suggested at UD. For example, check the College of Charleston and report back to us.

Add another potential transfer to the list: Amare Marshall of Albany. 6'4" guard averaged 16.7 ppg in 23-24.
