Tres Memorializes the Pee Wall

Post by dchen »

From today’s News Journal article introducing Delaware football to CUSA:

“Before that 2019 renovation, the men’s restroom underneath the West stands had what its users lovingly referred to as the “pee wall.” It featured large troughs into which men urinated side by side with water running down the wall from pipes. A miniature version, extolled with a plaque telling its history, is now located in the nearby updated modern bathroom.”

You don't need to memorialize something that isn't dead!

Us East Stand snowflakes still find relief at the unrenovated Pee Wall on our side. As mentioned in another thread, it still draws gasps and smirks from visitors in opposing colors.

Interesting that UD is 7-0 against current CUSA teams although, I don't expect that to continue.

My grandsons were introduced to the Pee Wall at the Campbell game. They're still talking about it

During my recent visit to the new west side wall, a group of fathers brought their young boys in for what was obviously their first visit. The kids were excited beyond belief at the wall's "convenience". It was hilarious to hear this kids wailing and high fiving after their memorable experience.

Don’t know if there are still there, but I was surprised to find “pee troughs” in the newly opened Heinz Field in 2002.
