OK, OK...you guys have me putting my thinking cap on.
Football Parking Steal Deal of the Week:
Park in front of my house for $5. That will include a burger and a beer. 15 minute walk to the stadium.
Bonus: for an extra $5, you can get another beer and I'll put a tent and a big screen TV in the yard so you don't have to walk to the stadium...I promise the volume won't break your ears.
We'll call it UD Bailgating, since we'd be bailing on actually attending the game. Heck, maybe we'll make a season ticket deal where parkers will bring their own grillables and park for free. Double heck, I'll even bring the Fornetto to the front yard so that we can fire up some pizzas...just have to bring your own toppings.
Bailgate 2025 is going to be lit!
That’s a good deal if we can have open use of your bathrooms to pay the rent on beer.
We have a nice tree/bush line in the back...lots of evergreens and thick bushes...more privacy than the Pee Wall.
All I want for Christmas is a 2025 Bowl game for our Hens.

How about Uber service for those that do not want to walk? Could be an additional fee!
"Clu-ber" one possible name for the service.
I'd have to subcontract that out...a DUI for the host isn't part of the package.
On the other hand...UD does have some folks on golf carts running around the parking lots. Maybe we can...ahem..."borrow" one of those for 30 minutes pre-game (UD probably wouldn't miss it, right?) and do a quick shuttle along the James Hall Trail?
True confession flashback: someone on one of our Spring Break charter boats (who shall not be named, but it wasn't me) back in the 80s "borrowed" a golf cart on North Cat Cay and it ended up in a pond on the golf course (which was owned by Richard Nixon). Not sure whether the Bahamas has a statute of limitations for such things...or an extradition treaty with the USofA. Wonder if there are any pardons left?
In any case, I'm starting to see a short documentary film coming out of this Bailgating effort.

As long as the UD golf carts can play music... will need to play Lil Jon "Bend Ova" so the 'Clu-ber' riders are in game mode with their knees touching their elbows.

The glass half full is that ticket prices remained the same. $255/each for my chairback seats in the west stands is still decent value, in my opinion. $42.50 per game. That's 1/4 the face value ($175) of an Eagles nosebleed ticket.
Parking continues to be my glass half-empty. I used to have parking in Gold Champion ten years ago. Then they converted that to Gold VIP and priced me out of there, so I went over to Blue Champion in front of the Fieldhouse. Then they decided to jack up the price there a couple of years back, so I went to Hensaver. Now they're converting part of Hensaver (the Ice Arena) to a premium lot, so I'll cross the street to STAR parking.
If they price me out of STAR in the future, they may lose me for good. Money isn't the issue. I have plenty. It's the principle. I like bargains. Paying $15 a game for a parking space is about my limit. $50 (Ice Arena now), $75 (champions) or $100 (VIP) per game is just freaking nutty. God bless you all who blow your money like that. The Athletic Director thanks you.
Even those season ticket prices seem pretty high, especially since UD no longer sells out and they were in FCS. Just to give an idea, I paid $280 per ticket for TCU season tickets and they have been in the Big 12 since 2012. They also have majority of their season tickets sold out (now a lot of the people don't even attend some of the games though). We parked off site at a church lot which is about a 700 yd walk to the stadium and they just upped it to $375.
I think Delaware should be trying to gain more fans and attraction to the program before increasing everything so quickly imo.

Only ONE parking lot cost was increased. Everything else remains basically the same. Doesn’t sound quick to me.

They seem to raise a different lot each year. Last year, they raised Blue Champion from $300 to $450 (after converting the Gold Champion to Gold VIP at now $600/yr some time before that). This year (for 2025) they've raised the Ice Arena from $99 to $300. You have to wonder where they'll go next, and if it will be worth it to people to keep paying outrageous amounts to park a car.
The VIP lots are pretty much always half (if not two-thirds) empty when you walk through, as is Blue Champion, other than the third of it closest to the Field House. The good thing is, the people paying $100/game to be seen are certainly being seen!
Well, one can get a filet mignon at Timothy's for $27, or a filet mignon at Fraunces Tavern for $58. Plenty of other price points...despite a filet mignon being a filet mignon by any other name.
The fact is that UD is not serving up what most would say is a prime brand of football...perhaps now choice instead of select.
As with any other product, customers will decide what they will pay for any difference in quality.
Let them eat steak, I say...
All I want for Christmas is a 2025 Bowl game for our Hens.
Cluck- I'd rather eat a Millionaire cake(google it and find the luscious plethora of flavors over a steak- the heck with protein I take that back- how about both-a T bone followed by the cake.
this post is especially presented by me to you( our connoisseur of cuisine - BON APPETITE
just havin' fun on a gorgeous bright sunny day

I guess as one poster put it “people want a lobster dinner at a salisbury steak price”.
We have to stop thinking small.
Totally agree, but trying to charge lobster prices for salisbury steak shrunk our season ticket base from 11.5K to 3.5K. We need a menu of specials (plus winning big games) to fill the stadium again. Then they can charge whatever they want. Demand drives price.
Hey, speaking of Salisbury (University), they haven’t lost a football game this year. Big playoff matchup with Mt Union this weekend.

1. When did UD start selling season parking i(without individual spots being reserved) in the Ice Arena and at wah tprice(s)?
2. For 2025 FB will the spots be individually reserved?
3. If you have Ice Arena FB season parking, are you able to walk around the Western & Southern ends of the Tennis Courts and the Northern and Eastern ends of (behind) the Field House to get to the Cosgrove Family Gate to enter DE Stadium?
Since Ms. Rawak became the AD, she eliminated the mandatory seat donations and has moderately increased ticket prices (except for the Club Seats) . However, AD Rawak has significantly increased parking prices to help make-up for the revenue lost when she eliminated mandatory seat donations. Yes, I believe that the parking fees are too high. However, I believe increasing the parking fees was a smart decision by Ms. Rawak because (like the Club Seats) you can opt out of the higher priced parking and park elsewhere.
