Apologies that these aren't in date order. I pick them off of opponents websites after guessing which schools might be likely candidates.

Bluehens.com is showing 12 players - all non freshman. Where does the roster list with 17 you note above come from?mpwerrell wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 12:01 pmUnderstood and UD will need to decide how much scholarship money they will pay within the new Field Hockey roster limit of 27.
2025 roster lists 17 players with 6 incoming first years assuming that none are transferring due to the coaching change. Of the 23 players only one is a GK.
Coach has some roster building to accomplish.

My post that you quoted was from April 14. At that time the roster showed 17 players.dchen wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 6:39 pmBluehens.com is showing 12 players - all non freshman. Several first year players from 2024 team are no longer on the current roster. I guess they entered the transfer portal.
Re: New Field Hockey Coach
Thanks. Bummer. I know athletes tend to move on when a new coach is hired but, if the players are happy with their school/academic situation, this seems to be a great place to be: probably lots of playing time given the diminished (even at 17) roster and the opportunity to play for a three time national championship winning coach. Hopefully there will be more newcomers announced once they enroll. I looked to see if there was a portal tracker such as what Inside Lacrosse magazine publishes for their sport but found none.mpwerrell wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 10:21 pmMy post that you quoted was from April 14. Re: New Field Hockey Coach
The six announced first year players for 2025 were signed when Rolf was coach. Either the roster has yet to be updated or perhaps, with the coaching change, they decided to go elsewhere.
Re: New Field Hockey Coach
I doubt all 6 bailed, & the athletic department is waiting for pictures to update the roster.

Re: New Field Hockey Coach
Gabby Prentice a GK from Archbishop Spaulding in MD. Signs with the Hens.
It appears that she had committed to Shippensburg in December but follows coach to UD.

Re: New Field Hockey Coach
Field Hockey updated their roster showing incoming first years.
Re: New Field Hockey Coach
Looks like all six of the original incoming class are on the roster. Three additional high school recruits have been added to the roster as well. We only have two goal keepers so I would expect we might add another GK.
Re: New Field Hockey Coach
Most teams have 2 GKs’s unless the 3rd is a walk-on or there are Jr & Sr on the roster. Most schools only recruit GK every other year. Now this could change for schools moving from 12 to 27 funded scholarships.
No doubt they will bring in a GK next year.

We’ve typically had three goal keepers in the past.
