Would put their capacity in the 35-40k or potentially higher.
UD to FBS. I never thought I’d see the day

It's smart to stay ahead of things, and it'll be good to even out the symmetry of that fiddler crab-looking stadium they have now.

No reason to think they won't get it done. It's remarkable what they've got down there now, including the new arena.

You gotta do what you gotta do to stay competitive. Bridgeforth's current capacity is less than most of their conference partners.

sad to see how far past UD JMU has sailed! The planning and commitment dwarfs anything that comes out of South College! And NO, I am not going to be patient and be happy we are in CUSA etc....Yes, CUSA is way better than the dumpstser fire that was the CAA, but UD has NOT laid out a great plan or stragtegy to move forward. Yes, they built the Whitney and renovated the west grandstand, but in the process reduced stadium capacity and designed the whole renovation poorly to say the least. they floated additional upgrades that seem to have fizzled out and may never come to fruition...Our former conference partner though just keeps moving forward with nary a speedbump in sight. Therre are some that keep chirping about the "next" conference move for UD and throw out names like AAC, ACC, etc....Rest assured, JMU, APP St, GaSo, Liberty, and jacksonville St sit firmly ahead in the pecking order for that way ahead of UD. Meanwhile UD is mired in an outgoing President leaving under pressure, and AD who fumbled her job transition out of UD leaving the Athletic Department in the hands of an Interim to complete the transition along with an investment idea that has fallen flat on its face.

Well don't leave out the bad news.... Just kidding, I agree wholeheartedly with your thoughts.

I hate being a pessimist but I just don't see the proactive creativity coming out of Newark that I see at other schools. Add NIL and I don't see how we can compete in FBS unless there is a sea change in UD's approach to most everything.

I have been advocating for FBS football for 25+ years and the amount of growth potential that has been squandered during that time is disheartening.

I hope for the best but there isn't much evidence to support it.

It’s easy to cry “whoa is me”. Let’s give them a chance to get their footing and advance. We all want success and can support.

Hound, I've been getting Steele's magazine for over 10 years. Just a heads up that he packs alot of information into his coverage and utilizes a large number of Abbreviations in his Team summaries and general articles. Knowing those will go a long way in absorbing the great coverage he supplies. He has a page near the front that explains the ones he uses frequently that is helpful.

Understood, HENJOHN.

Rich, I didn't want to wait on it showing up in B&N I ordered it direct and it came yesterday. I think I paid $30, which includes S&H and a digital subscription, that I had access to last week.

The effort that Steele and his team put into it is amazing. It is going to take time to dig into it
