Women's Lacrosse
On a positive note, the women are now 3-4. It seems they have gotten their footing after a 1 goal loss to nationally ranked Georgetown. They shut down Mt. St. Mary's for the last 3 quarters on Saturday for a 17-5 win! Senior Ella Rishko leads the charge with 21 goals!
Off to TN to play Austin Peay tomorrow.

Re: Women's Lacrosse
Won their first ASUN game today 19-3. At one point, dating back to last game, they scored 28 straight goals before giving up one in the 3rd quarter today. That’s impressive.

The women continue on a roll, beating Lindenwood 25-7. There were too many goal scorers to mention! Next up is Jacksonville at home on Thursday.

Though Thursday is a very big ASUN game, the ASUN championships are at a predetermined site (Jacksonville). This game would be huge if it factored into home field for the playoffs. I believe the ASUN playoffs includes six teams so winning this game would go a long way towards the Hens getting one of the two first round byesSally in RI wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 10:56 am The women continue on a roll, beating Lindenwood 25-7. Hens defeat Jacksonville today 14-13 and move to 3-0 in the conference. Jacksonville has won the ASUN regular season title 11 consecutive years so real nice win for the ladies.

That win showed a lot of character. After opening the game with 5 unanswered goals, the Hens were down 11-7 in the third quarter. From there they dominated and out scored Jacksonville 7-2 to close out the win. It takes heart to come back like that!
Next up is Stetson at home on Saturday. By the way, the ESPN+ coverage is really quite good. I’ll be tuning in at noon.

That’s a double home game. Women at noon and the Men at 3:00 pm. Military Appreciation day for the men’s game.Sally in RI wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2026 8:46 am That win showed a lot of character. Re: Women's Lacrosse
The women absolutely dominated Stetson yesterday, 16-6. They are the only remaining unbeaten team within the conference. Non-conference game against St. Joe’s on Wednesday.
Does anyone know if the ASUN champion gets an automatic NCAA bid? Asking for a friend.

Sally: Last year Liberty won the ASUN tournament and then lost to Hopkins in the first round of the NCAAs. I think that was an AQ bid for Liberty - not an at large selection.Sally in RI wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2026 4:21 pm The women absolutely dominated Stetson yesterday, 16-6. At 10-4, riding a 9 game win streak, the Hens clinched a post season berth in the ASun tournament with today's win over Coastal Carolina. Ranked #35 by the NCAA, they are surely aiming for the big dance.

Has been really fun following our women's team this entire year. You get the sense we are truly building a "program" here, not just a place where we have a good team every once in a while. GO HENS!!
