One of Akron’s top recruits...did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...team went 5-7 for head coach J.D. Brookhart...enrolled in school in January and took part in spring drills...completed 4 of 8 passes and one touchdown in the spring game

 

High School: Nolan Catholic 6-3, 220 lbs.

Enjoyed an outstanding career at Nolan Catholic High School in Forth Worth, Tex....helped lead team to consecutive state championships in 2004 and 2005 for head coach Joe Prud’dhome....named a Dallas Morning News Top 100 area player (No. 71)...was listed among the top quarterbacks in the nation by Fab 50 Recruiting...team posted a 22-4 record during his final two seasons...named Most Valuable Player of the 2005 state championship game.
