After opening at -6.5, one book has Hens as an 8.5-point favorite on the road.

I almost feel like odds are irrelevant to some degree in this conference. It’s anyone’s game on any given Saturday.

While I expect two more wins, I am also realistic that two more is not a walk in the park. SHU’s record is obviously not good but they have played a few teams tough. Same with UTEP.

Dang this is exciting from week to week!

Any Given Saturday, as you say, but…Sammy is awful. A-W-F-U-L.

24-41 L
21-38 L
20-37 L
0-55 L
10-37 L
27-29 L
17-35 L
14-55 L
21-17 W (Sammy had 157 total yards Saturday…to OSU’s 474. AGS)

Aside from the Sammy Pounds Beavers miracle (without the pounding part), only the Jax Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde State game was within 3 scores.

Time to go down to Huntsville and skin some Bobcats.

Hawaii and UNLV were not complete blowouts and both teams are bowl bound. But losing to Jax State by two cannot be ignored. LA Tech throttled them but LAT was at home.

Yes, they are bad. Not arguing that. But this isn’t Hampton, Bryant or A&T bad where a win is darn near automatic.

Cluck, please don’t go down to Huntsville as you’ll be all by yourself! The game is being played 70 miles away in Houston while Sammy renovates their stadium!

Nice and reasonable summary Caldwell. CUSA has shown us anything can happen and to expect the unexpected

For what it’s worth, and I don’t agree with Massey on this but

Massey is predicting Sam Houston to defeat Delaware 30-28

Road games are tough
recruiting recruiting recruiting...It ain't rocket science....We need better more athletic players...That simple....

CH...Massey must be factoring in our road record this year and road performance. I do not know enough about Massey but that could be a factor. Curious how many times Massey has been correct just calling the wins and losses for UD...not even considering the point spread.

Spot on...road games are tough. First time on natural grass this year and calling for scattered thunderstorms in Houston. But that forecast could change.

Odds aside this will be a tough matchup. Both teams coming off high emotional wins.

This is like a road game also for SHU but 70 miles in Texas to them is nada.

Looks like Section 126 is behind the visitors bench and hopefully a few Hen fans. We plan to visit my wifes brother in Dallas and drive to Houston Saturday. Any recommendations from a native?
